The ‘Developing Optimal and Open Research Support for the Black Sea’ project is hosting the Black Sea Futures: Science, Prosperity, and People Conference from 23-24 April 2024 in Bucharest, Romania.

This event will feature inspiring high-level panels, interactive co-design workshops, and a Black Sea research and innovation showcase, including an MSP4BIO poster on “Gap analysis and needs assessment to sustain a better integration of biodiversity considerations in Maritime Spatial Planning for Western Black Sea Pilot Site“.

Participants are invited to attend on-site (no on-line participation will be possible). The conference will offer a unique forum to exchange views on the challenges and opportunities in the sustainable blue economy sectors, the development of the Digital Twin Ocean, training and capacity enhancement in the Black Sea, Ocean Literacy, and science-policy interface.

Hybrid EXPERT WORKSHOP – How to address deep habitats’ conservation challenges in the strongly protected areas designation process in the French Italian Mediterranean area?

Co organised by CNR & Cerema he workshop is organised in the context of the MSP4BIO North Western Mediterranean test site. The objective is to foster a discussion regarding the Vulnerable Marine Ecosytems (VMEs) concept.
